The lion and lamb thing didn’t work too well this year … but I’d be ly’in if I said I missed it.
I had all the winter I needed this year and a milder, gentler transition into spring was welcome at my house.
The market has changed a bit too ……

This is a very odd time. Never before have we seen so many homes for sale, so few homes selling, so many people in the market looking or such a low interest rate.
Really a difficult get a Handle on.

There is no question that there are people and businesses that are suffering right now.
However, there are also people and businesses that are holding their own, some even prospering.
However, we never seem to hear about the good news … I think that’s a shame and I’ve vented a bit in this video.

It’s the start of the year .. so it can be difficult to try and understand the story the numbers are telling today. Certainly this is always the slowest time of the year for us.
However I think there are several trends we can identify that will be important to both sellers and buyers.
I’ve made several charts that may be easier to understand.

Again .. it’s been a while between posts … partly because I’ve been busy with other parts of my business, partly because of the snow … and partly because I don’t have a lot to say.
It’s always amazing to me how much the weather impacts on people. With all the snow in January there was very little traffic .. but then on the days that cleared up people seemed to come out of the woodwork. It seems there is demand out there .. just not the “I’ve go to get RIGHT NOW” kind of demand. Once things settle weather wise maybe we’ll see a swift pickup.

Also … becaus of the bad weather I’ve developed the areas first VIDEO tours for properties … I’ve been collecting locall photos for years and we can now show people in the middle of the winter what the home and neighbourhood look like in the middle of the summer.

Been Busy With My New Video Blog
January has been much more hectic than I expected. Much warmer than the weather !!
ChomzTV has gotten attention from all over North America !! Mostly from people in the industry, but it’s very uplifting (because I have no idea what I’m doing)
If you visited the site, you may have noticed the Twitter Updates on the right side below the intro video. Twitter is a means of micro-blogging – you can post brief (140 character) notes and updates (tweets) and they will be sent out to people who have asked to “follow” you. It’s immediate and very brief. The people who know (who ever they are ) say that Twitter will be the most used and important means of communicating on the web in the next 12 months.
So remember .. you heard it here !!!
