Every morning I get up at 6:00 and walk my dog. It’s really her idea … but I’ve kind of gotten used to it. In fact I’ve come to enjoy the time.
Because ….
Because of where we live, our walk takes us along the waterfront, past the harbour and then downtown.
It’s become a bit of a ritual for me, a time to reflect on yesterday and frame today ….
It’s also a wonderful barometer for the season.
At 6:00 am in August we’ll walk past Art waiting for his pick up for golf. We’ll walk past the trailer park where Frank is out having his morning smoke while reading the paper. And we’ll pass the boaters heading for the showers. We’ll also see other dogs and people heading to work. Same dogs, same people, same time. Everybody says “Morn’in” everybody smiles … it’s really a great way to start your day.
At 6:00 am in October you’re pretty much on your own. Nobody golfing, the trailer park is empty and boats are all but gone. Certainly no sailors on board. It’s dark when you leave and dark when you get back.
But A Great Time For Thinking ….. Planning .. Positioning
It struck me this morning … That’s what Real Estate is like now. Not too much going on … but some wonderful opportunities.
The current credit crisis is a result of the banks lending to a lot of people who shouldn’t have be given any money at all. People they had to know could never pay it back, but were relying on appreciation to keep ahead. It had to catch up. It’s also important to note that most Canadian borrowers DO NOT fall into this category.
If you have good credit, a secure job (and there are lots out there) you could be in tremendous position to build wealth and provide for your children.
I’m working on something now that may help….. more later.
If you’d like to talk just give me a call.
