A Great Home In central Cobourg

It’s funny how things change… when I was called to talk to the people about helping them sell this house I knw it right away.

For the 5 years I spent in highschool I walked right past it probably 8 times a week. A class mate lived 3 doors up and my dentist lived across the street. These were big homes.

This was a RAELLY nice street in Cobourg. And it still is … Rankin Blvd. is a classic street scape in the central part of small town Ontario. An easy walk to the beach, downtown and schools – this is a place that anyone looking for the quiet life in a small town could fall in love with.

What’s changed is the picture we have in our heads about what a “big” home is.

As I walked past on the way to my home … and we were comfortably middle class … I used to wonder what it would be like to live in a home such as these.

Turn the clock ahead more years than I’d like to admit and this home has shrunk !!!

It’s now a great place for a young family or a perfect retirement home.

Neat as a pin, solid construction, well loved and cared for over the years.

Check it out … you may want to improve your life.

I Should Write A Book ….

We’ve all seen it, our kids are growing and learning and one day they try something or taste something and you see that look that says …. “I won’t do that again!!!!”

And you hope they grow into adults that consider their action BEFORE they take them.

I guess not all parents are that lucky.

Every once in a while something happens and I have to stand back and wonder “Why would anyone think that was a good idea”.

Things Are Always Changing

Again .. it’s been a while between posts … partly because I’ve been busy with other parts of my business, partly because of the snow … and partly because I don’t have a lot to say.

It’s always amazing to me how much the weather impacts on people. With all the snow in January there was very little traffic .. but then on the days that cleared up people seemed to come out of the woodwork. It seems there is demand out there .. just not the “I’ve go to get RIGHT NOW” kind of demand. Once things settle weather wise maybe we’ll see a swift pickup.

Also … becaus of the bad weather I’ve developed the areas first VIDEO tours for properties … I’ve been collecting locall photos for years and we can now show people in the middle of the winter what the home and neighbourhood look like in the middle of the summer.
